The destruction of the Twin Towers was a tragedy at the very least. Thousands died and millions, if not billions, of people became terrified and sorrowful. Many realized just what they were getting out of life and chose to strive for more, and others realized that this world is just a cruel ploy to strip you of your happiness and in its place leave a burned pit of  resentment.

From the World Trade Center catastrophe, something did come out of it.

America grew as a nation. Thousands to millions united together to restore us to our former glory.

As a country, America grew stronger, but we will not forget what happened that day.

This day, twelve years ago, Gerard Way decided to turn his life around. 
He was trying to get into the works of a cartoonist, had just given a pitch to cartoon network.
On the train ride home, he saw the World Trade Center up in flames.
He say bodies falling. 
Bodies on fire.
From that point on, he decided he wanted to make a change in the world.

Twelve years later, he has saved and changed so many lives for the better.
Gerard Way is a hero. He is an inspiration.
Without him, I wouldn't be who I am today.
